In 2018, Penguin Random House sent me to the nation’s capital to photograph then California Congresswoman Kamala Harris for the cover of her memoir, “The Truths We Hold: An American Journey.” When the Secret Service showed up to the shoot, it should have been a hint that something big was in the works. My goal was to capture a portrait that felt authentic to Kamala’s strength and approachability, just like the power pearls and Converse sneakers she wore with her suit. The shoot and the book were a big success; to this date, it is the most licensed image of my career. This never-before-seen outtake is my personal favorite of Madam Vice President.

License Terms:
Subject to and conditioned upon your compliance with this license, for as long as you own your Kamala Harris NFT, Rainer Hosch grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-assignable (except pursuant to your transfer of the Kamala Harris NFT), worldwide license to display the image uniquely identified by your Kamala Harris NFT, solely and exclusively for your personal, non-commercial use.
